The Latrobe Cricket Club, of Tasmania, Australia, is a proud member of Cricket North West (formerly NWTCA), the premier turf cricket competition in the region.  We have been a member of this elite competition since 1950, and last season celebrated our 50th consecutive season of participation.

Located in the historic town of Latrobe, Latrobe Cricket Club is based at Latrobe Recreation Ground, with entry off Gilbert Street (training facilities) and Last Street (club rooms).  The club boasts terrific training facilities, with outdoor turf and synthetic net and centre wickets, along with an Indoor Centre including a bowling machine.
 
The latest addition to our facilities will be the redevelopment of our Junior Cricket rooms. The new rooms will increase storage available to our curator, provide shower, changing and toilet facilities for our players, plus provide space for an office/meeting room.  Along with the continued improvements made to our clubrooms, this new development gives our players their own space for training and match preparation. The redevelopment should be complete by the start of this season. 

Our centre wicket is also very highly regarded, regularly hosting A-Grade Semi-Finals and lower grade Grand Finals. It offers plenty of assistance to bowlers with the new ball, but then settles to be a magnificent batting wicket. Our curator, Ray Read is one of the best going around and we are extremely fortunate to have him at our club.

Our club places a strong emphasis on creating a family atmosphere where players, members and supporters enjoy one another's company while striving to produce the best possible on-field results.  Many of our current most senior players began their involvement with Latrobe Cricket Club at primary school and have in effect, "grown up" within the club.  If you come down to the ground on a match-day you will see our next generation of Latrobe cricketers on the sidelines having an impromptu game, all the while hoping they'll get their turn out in the middle some day. 

We have a sister-club relationship with the UK-based Frimley Cricket Club, and many gifted players have crossed back and forth between our clubs, sharing cricket and social experiences, making friendships that defy distance and time, bound by a shared love of cricket.  We certainly hope that this relationship continues for a long time to come.
