Donohue was the tormentor of many batsmen as he rose through the ranks at Latrobe, winning multiple bowling awards in the lower grades. His swinging deliveries with the new ball often have batsmen in trouble, particularly early in the season. He is an aggressive lower-order batsman who probably doesn't give himself enough credit for the ability he has with the bat. The key to Donohue making a real impact in A-Grade cricket is hard work - should he do all that he can to improve his game the results will follow.
