After the elation of performing well in an A-Reserve Premiership season in 2007/08, Gadsby had an up and down season in 2008/09. On occasions he struck the ball very well, making a career-best 63 not out in Sunday League and leading this team to the Grand Final. Too often though he made a start and got out due to a rush of blood. Gadsby has worked incredibly hard on his game and now has the tools to be an effective turf cricketer, it is up to him to play to his strengths and grind out some big innings. An in-form Gadsby is an important cog in the 2nd Grade team, and good performances there could lead to higher honours.
