Perry settled in well at Latrobe in his first season, earning games in A-Grade in the one-day series and doing his best despite limited opportunities. In 2nd Grade he continued to develop his game, with a great feel for tempo when bowling, changing his flight and variations to suit the situation. It is with the bat that he really emerged, making a half-century and developing the application that should see him emerge as a good all-round talent with the club this year and beyond.
