Boon joined the club in the second half of last season and showed real improvement in his application and consistency. He has a great deal of attacking flair with the bat and with some work on his defensive technique and ability to mix singles with boundaries he will be even more effective. With the ball he is a talented left-arm finger-spinner able to do a job restricting runs or flighting the ball up and inviting his opponent to attack. After a taste of 2nd Grade last season it is hoped Boon can force his way into the side permanently in 2009/10.
