TRAINING
Latrobe Cricket Club is currently undertaking a survey to determine the training arrangements that best serve our members. Further details relating to training days and times will be announced when the results of this survey are known.
Training sessions are held at Latrobe Recreation Ground, on the Picton Grange reserve located behind the main grandstand. Players are expected to attend all training sessions, and where they can't attend, they are asked to contact their Coach.
Each training session entails fitness work, fielding, batting and bowling skill development, and game simulation. The emphasis on each area depends on which is deemed to provide the best outcomes in player improvement and team success.
Players are generally responsible for providing their own equipment, however some club gear is available for use by players in lower grades.
It is expected that players will wear appropriate clothing to training, which includes a club shirt or white shirt, shorts/trousers and sandshoes/spikes. Jeans and street shoes are not permitted.
Pre-Season Training
Official pre-season has not yet commenced, however players of any age can come along to informal training nights being held at Devonport Oval Indoor Centre each Tuesday night from 6.00-8.00pm.
