Match report Latrobe has recorded a thrilling tie in Round 3 of the Greater Northern series against South Launceston. Paul Dickson won the toss and sent South Launceston into bat, and they were in trouble early, with Clint Donohue (1-22) and Dion Parsons (4-38) doing the damage. At one stage South Launceston were 4-59, but recovered to score 9-197, their total limited only by good bowling from Brad Green (3-51) and Paul Dickson's 1-22 from 10 tight overs.

Chasing 198 for victory the Demons started well, with Dickson (27) and Morse (14) adding 46 for the first wicket. However, the loss of Morse, Dickson and Steven Adkins (0) had Latrobe teetering at 3-52. Ryan Keep joined Nathan Avery at the crease and pair wrested back control, adding 90 runs for the 4th wicket, taking Latrobe to 4-142 when Avery was dismissed for 43. Keep continued to bat dominantly, striking four 4's and two 6's in a score of 66, his second half-century of the season. The loss of Andrew Boon and then Keep with the score on 189 put the Demons under pressure, and when Matt Perry was dismissed in the second last over the scores were tied. Chasing the winning run Clint Donohue was run out, and in a cliffhanger, the points were shared!
