Match report Latrobe's Sunday League side have yet to hit top form after recording a 7-wicket loss to Burnie-Yeoman. After winning the toss and electing to bat, Latrobe were in early trouble, losing 3-23 in the first 10 overs. However, acting skipper Josh Gadsby was digging in, and combined in some good partnerships with Zane Littlejohn (13) to add 28, and Cameron Simonds (18) to add 44. Gadsby continued to play the major role, recording his second half century for the club in his 50th Sunday League match, carrying his bat through the innings. Latrobe managed to reach 9-167 thanks to Gadsby and some late order hitting from the veteran Garry Reeves (13) and Shawn Carroll (12). The Demons would have to bowl well to defend this total.

In reply Burnie-Yeoman never looked in any trouble. They safely negotiated the new ball and it was only Darren Crawford (2-20) who put them under pressure. Shawn Carroll (1-25) took the other wicket, but the Emus reached the target in the 35th over for the loss of only 3 wickets. The Demons would need to work on their consistency with the bat and ball in order to record a win.
