Match report Coming off a loss to Burnie-Yeoman, Latrobe were keen to notch their first win of the season against Sheffield at Latrobe High School. The Demons won the toss and elected to bat, but never really looked fully in control. Ben Dick (8) and Nick Cornell (12) both made starts, but partnerships were few and far between. The best partnership came from developing allrounder Tony Aherne (30) and Kodie Clarke (15), who added 30 for the sixth wicket. Luc Keep (3 not out) and David Squibb (11) then added 21 for the 10th wicket to register a team score of 123. The Demons now had to try and defend this small target.

The Demons struck early thanks to a run out and a good piece of bowling from emerging paceman Josh Squibb (1-38). However the Mountaineers steadied, adding 30 for the third wicket before Shawn Carroll (1-3) removed Ryan Patterson. The Mountaineers were 3-60 when they left the field due to rain, and the match was abandoned.
