Match report Latrobe entered a match with top-of-the-table Wynyard without experienced players Marc Simonds, Trent Keep and Jamie Aherne who were playing 2nd Grade. Batting first, the Demons gave a good account of themselves, with Brandon Goss (27) and Thomas Reeves (15) getting the Demons off to a solid start. The Demons then lost five quick wickets, but they needn't have worried as Luc Keep (37 n.o) and Jesse Squibb (46 n.o) added over 100 runs for the sixth wicket. Both looked very assured in defence and rotated the strike well, demonstrating that both could progress to higher grades in the future. The Demons eventually finished at 5/186 thanks to this unbeaten partnership.

In reply Wynyard progressed steadily, with Zach Weeks (1-27) and Josh Squibb (1-27) taking the early wickets. In the middle overs Wynyard established some good partnerships and it looked like they could register a win, but Brandon Goss (4-17) performed a great captain's role with his medium-pacers, with good support from slow bowlers Tristan Weeks (2-17) and Luke Bryan (1-45). When Sam Arrell took his first wicket for Latrobe the Demons had secured the win by 37 runs and a great confidence booster for the team.
