Match report After a fantastic win against Wynyard, it was important for the young Demons to continue their momentum at home against Devonport. Cameron Foster came into the side to make his debut due to Callum Butler playing for Sassafras in the Twenty20 competition. The Orions elected to bat first and steadily accumulated runs. Zach Weeks again proved hard to get away, recording 1-18 from 10 good overs. His brother Tristan produced identical figures from his 10 overs bowling his off spinners, to really put the brakes on Devonport. Luke Bryan also took a wicket bowling his spin, recording 1-32 and continuing his good bowling form this season. The Orions recorded 6-148 from its 50 overs, although the target could have been less had Latrobe fielded up to its usual standard.

In reply the Demons started cautiously, losing Thomas Reeves (6) early. However Dane Townsend and Brandon Goss were looking good. Townsend made the most of his chance up the order and some missed chances from Devonport, making 42 runs, again showing that Latrobe has some great young talent. Goss made 31 as well to show he is continuing to improve with the bat. However, when Townsend and Goss were dismissed, the pressure was applied to Latrobe as the required runs per over crept up. Luc Keep (18) was proving hard to dismiss, but the Demons lost wickets in a hurry, with Sam Squibb and Zach Weeks both the victims of run outs. It came down to the last over, but Luke Bryan (3 not out) and Josh Squibb (0 not out) managed to hang in there and saw the Demons home, finishing with 7-151 and an important victory.
