LATROBE CRICKET CLUB 1st Grade squad

Latrobe Cricket Club's 1st Grade team has won two premierships, in 1973/74 and 2005/06. The team plays Twenty-20, One-Day and Two-Day matches in the Cricket North West competition, with most matches played on Saturdays. It also participates in the Greater Northern Competition, playing matches against Launceston-based sides, aiming to qualify for the finals of the Statewide One-Day Competition, taking on Hobart-based teams.

Coach 1 : Shane Wootton

Shane coached the club for two seasons in his own right. Eagerly sought by other clubs, Latrobe secured Wootton's services, and he had bold plans for the club. Wootton joined the club as a highly decorated Sheffield player and coach of the Cricket North-West Representative Team. His greatest feat has been instilling confidence and belief in our young players and loyal veterans, while not being afraid to be honest. Shane continued as a Co-Coach with Paul Dickson in Season 2010-11, able to take on a greater role in working with players 1 on 1. This paid dividends with our young 1st Grade team reaching the finals for the first time in several seasons. Wootton now enters his fourth season at Latrobe keen for further success in all grades.
